Dennis Charles Beatty, 63, of Lenexa, KS, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by his wife and best friend Dennis Marston. He was born July 24, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to William J. and Mary C. (Engel) Beatty.
Dennis was a 1976 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. On March 7, 1987, he married Mary Ellen Hanser and they were married for almost 35 years. He worked for AT&T for 31 years as a service technician.
He loved to go fishing and had a passion for Pheasant hunting. Dennis enjoyed gardening and watching the birds eat from all of his bird feeders in the backyard.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father William J. Beatty. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and his two dogs, Riley and Harper, his mother, Mary C. Beatty, brother, Bill (Renee) Beatty, sister, Janice (Gary) Self, brother, Mike Beatty, and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203. Inurnment will be in Abilene, KS
