Michael K. Stein, age 62, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 16, 1958, in Tulsa, OK.  

He was a proud graduate of Arizona State University. Right out of college, he worked with his dear friend Phil at the Queen Mary in CA, then he worked in the cosmetics, modeling, marketing, advertising, and nonprofit sectors for most of his working years. Mike chose early retirement and was always working on his writing, creating new characters in boxes of flashcards that he moved around and organized into stories. He has finished his first novel and was almost ready for it to be published. 

Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, papa, and uncle. He was continuing to joke about all the places he lived over the years, moving over 17 times with Shane to places like Las Vegas, Chicago, and Manhattan over the course of their relationship. His travels took him to Hawaii, Seattle, Dallas, and Florida, to name a few, but his all-time favorite was traveling to Paris in 2006, where he began his love of fresh roasted coffee and roasted his own beans to make his own cappuccinos. The light in his eyes when he home-roasted his own beans to perfection will forever be a source of joy for all those who knew him. 

He is survived by his husband of over 29 years, Shane R. McCall, son Ryan McCall, son Alexander Tracy, wife Chelsie, daughter Madison Udy, and husband Tyson. 3 grandchildren, Rylee, Gracie, and Parker McCall. 2 nieces, Kris Johnston and husband Al, Kimberly Stein and nephew Mike Stein. Pets Lily and Clyde. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Kirk and Estha (Chandler) Stein, his brother, Timothy Stein, and his sister-in-law, Carol, his beloved pets, Bam Bam, Suzie, Rinkles, and Miss Mia. He had many friends, far and near, that he cherished.
