Quinton Vernon Webb

1958-07-17 2021-06-07
Quinton Webb was born July 17, 1958, one of 10 children born to Alfonso and Mary Jane Webb. He grew up in Merriam (community of South Park) Kansas. He was educated in the Shawnee Mission School District and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Quinton joined the United States Army shortly after high school. He was given an Honorable discharge to return home to help support his mother when his father fell ill.

Quinton was twice divorced and remarried each time. He was first united in marriage to Rene Tate (Ohio resident) while stationed in California. To this union Monique Nicole Webb was born. He was blessed in his second marriage to Kim Burt with a son Quinton Vernon Webb Jr. In July of 2017 Quinton married his greatest love Sandra Deborah Tate of Detroit, Michigan.

Quinton was a construction worker and junk man by trade. He was a hardworking, fun-loving, protector and giver of huge bear hugs. He had an infectious laugh, relentlessly strong prayer life and unconditional love of family. When a youngster needed a dose of reality, he would sit down and talk to them straight-up. If you needed him all you had to do was call. If he saw someone in need, he wouldn’t wait to be called. He would take care of it. Quinton’s unwavering faith in God lifted the family as he fought his battle with cancer. The sureness of his salvation carried him through the battle and comforted us all.

Quinton transitioned to glory on June 7, 2021. He was preceded by his parents, Alfonso and Mary Jane, three brothers; Alfonso Jr., Harvey, James (Jim) and his brother-in-law Eurvin Williams Sr.

Quinton leaves to mourn him: Sandra Tate Webb (wife), children; Monique Nicole, Quinton Jr., stepchildren; Sharon and Laron Tate (Erin), grandchildren; Taylor, Aiden, Blaze, Sir, Anayla, Shanayla, Bryce, Samara, Gabriel, Caleb, Malachi, CJ, Elisha, India, Kamron, Erin, Darien and Carter. A brother, Victor Webb (Denise) 5 sisters; Wanda Wilkes (Carl) Cheterria Williams, Mary Webb, Deborah Stephens (Charles), Kathleene Gabriel (Kevin), two sisters in law; Louvenia (Jim) Sharon (Harvey). A host of dearly loved, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
