Kathy Anne Sherrow, 58, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away June 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born Jan. 10, 1958, in Kansas City, Mo. She was a graduate of The University of Kansas with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, specializing in geriatric care. Kathy provided home healthcare services primarily in the Midtown area through Visiting Nurses Association. She had an unending love for her family, particularly her nieces, Lauren and Whitney. Her talent was bringing people together through her cooking, card and Scrabble games and her love of life. Kathy was a nurturing, generous and caring woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Kathy is now at peace in the arms of the Lord with Grandma Lillie.

She is survived by her devoted parents, Annette and Pete Sherrow; her loving sister and brother-in-law, Alana and Jim Estes; her nieces, who were her pride and joy, Lauren and Whitney; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her four-legged, constant companion, Marley.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, contributions in Kathy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Sister Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th St., KCK. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Doctors Julia Chapman, John Dunlap and Richard Morgan, as well as Shanna, Cindy and Marilyn of Heartland Hospice.
