KAREN R. HAYDEN

Karen R Hayden passed away Friday February 5, 2016 unexpectedly at her home.



Anyone who knew Karen knew her wicked sense of humor would have everyone laughing even at the most inappropriate times. If you could only use one word to describe Karen it would be loyal. Karen graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1976. Although most of Karen's life was spent in Johnson County her years living in Minnesota were a great joy to her with horseback riding, ice fishing and great friends.



Many Johnson County Businesses knew Karen as the Auxiliary President of American Legion Post 370 where her successful fundraising efforts contributed to many great events.



Karen is survived by her mother Mary Jane Erwin, daughter Christy Cisneros, her son Matt Nimz and his wife Vanessa. Two grandchildren Colton Cisneros and Kaylee Cisneros and her only niece Katy Curtis. Her sister Sharon Curtis and husband Paul. Her significant other Richard Harper. Karen was preceded in death by her father Donald W. Erwin and her son-in-law Tony Cisneros. Also left to miss her kind heart are her four legged companions Wilsey Dog, and her two cats Simba and Slo-Mo. Our world will never be as bright as it was before Karen left her earthly life.



Visitation will be 5-7 PM., Friday February 12, 2016 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Services will follow at 7PM.
